Welcome to the Introduction to Health Policy course! By the end of this course, you will have developed an overall understanding of the various aspects of health policy analysis. During this course, you will be provided with the requisite frameworks, perspectives, and analytical tools, allowing you to reflect critically on the health policy developments in developing countries. You will learn about the key concepts, core principles of public health, and various health system components, including financing and governance, while exploring social science approaches to health and health as a social determinant. You will also learn about equity, access, and quality as key objectives of public health systems in detail, with an emphasis on the determinants and their measurement issues.
